This Network is a New York City Children’s Services preventive program that provides individual, group and family counseling, workshops and art therapy groups to at-risk-families with children who have a high probability of entering the NYC foster care system. The staff of social workers and support staff work with families to prevent child abuse and neglect, and placement of their children in foster care system. Services are provided in the homes, schools, and at the agency’s location.

The network covers community districts 10 and 11. We are a culturally diverse program working to provide supportive intervention to the following: Latino/Hispanic, African / French, and African American.

We accept families that are referred from the New York City Children’s Services, Family Preservation Program, Schools, Hospitals, internal programs, and other service providers within the community. Our eligibility criterion consists of the following:

* Families with the community districts 10 and 11
* Families with children under the age of 18 years
* Families experiencing difficulties with parenting, communication

In addition, the Network provides linkages to community resources through referrals and advocacy to assist with the following:

-Daycare
-Housing Assistance
-Parenting Education
-Health Support Service
-Tutorial
-Psychological Evaluation

Fundamentally, our goals are to increase awareness and to assist families that are affected by child abuse & neglect, domestic violence, etc.
