The Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative (IMRI) is a program provided by NMPP and addresses the needs of women, infants and children. This Initiative is funded through the NYC City Council. NMPP is one of 5 Regional Perinatal Coordinating Bodies that provides direct services to women, infants and children and technical support to other community based organizations. The IMRI program provides case management, health education workshops in the community and referrals for services. The target population is women of reproductive age (14 years to 45 years of age) and interconceptional and preconceptional women with children under the age of two.

The IMRI at NMPP provides Health Education Workshops in the community and on site at our 127th Street location. Case management services are provided, linkage and referrals and specialty training in preconceptional and interconceptional health are provided.
